About Renee

Renee Bruns is an explorer, travel expert, and storyteller. After 20 years in corporate America, she uprooted her traditional life and set out to see the world. Using a wheelchair full-time, she has visited over 150 countries, all 50 states, and all seven continents.

Her travels have earned her several awards, including a Guinness World Record. She accredits her success of seeing the world with a disability to the kindness of complete strangers. Now, she is an international keynote speaker, soon-to-be author, non-profit ambassador, and adventure-seeker.

Unlimited: Renee Bruns Set A Guinness World Record

In 2022, Virginia De Francisco reached out to Renee with a simple inquiry: she wanted to write a children's book about Renee to empower children around the world to follow their big dreams.

This book is more than a story - it's a labor of love, a project that built a beautiful friendship, and a piece of art.

Virginia De Francisco is a school psychologist and author. Svitlana Holovchenko is an illustrator, artist, and designer who has overcome her own obstacles. Together, this trio of women created a piece of art meant for children and adults alike.

Free Wheelchair Mission

Renee is passionate about giving back. She is an Ambassador for Free Wheelchair Mission, helping to spread awareness about the need for mobility devices for people in developing countries.

Free Wheelchair Mission provides wheelchairs to people in need around the world. One donation of $96 is enough to provide a wheelchair, and change someone's life.
